LOBO'S WEEKLY HIP HOP FUSION CLASS

{Adrian "Lobo" Miramontes has his roots in the Underground Street Dance Culture of Los Angeles. His Specialty is PopLock (popping) style, which he has trained for 8+ years with many of the originators and pioneers of the Dance. Lobo also has extensive background in various Hip Hop dance styles, such as Locking, House, Breaking, Wacking, Liquid, and much more. 

In this Class, Lobo will be bringing a Fusion of all Hip Hop styles, covering different topics each week, with a keen focus on fundamentals, technique, and dance philosophy that can be applied to ALL forms of movement.

Each class will contain:

1) Drills - to improve technique, muscle coordination, and body awareness

2.) A New Dance style, or Move of the Week - with a workshop around the fundamentals, history, and proper execution of the moves.

3.) Choreography - Group movement and formations that implement the newly learned move, along with a fusion of various styles.

4.) Freestyle - Group and Solo activities to help improve freestyle and improvisation for all types of dancers.

This class is great for all types of dancers, from bellydancers to flamenco, from ballet to tribal, from the newcommer to the one who just wants a workout!

This class is also suitable for all levels, from absolute beginner - to Advanced Master level.

Here is a List of the Various styles Lobo specializes in:

Popping & Boogaloo: A funky based dance utilizing a series of quick muscle contractions and funky leg rolls.

Waving & Liquid: Fluid type movements mimicking the element of Water

Robot: Controlled Isolated movements mimicking machinery, technology, and of course, Robots!

Tutting: Geometric and Sharp angular movements inspired from Egyptian Hieroglyphs

Animation: High-technique movements that create illusion and mimic various animals and creatures.

Miming: The acting out of a Story through body movements, facial gestures, emotion, and illusional technique.

Locking: A Funk style dance with a comical nature, utilizing quick arm and leg motions, and a funky groove.

House A social dance, primarily to house music, utilizing fast and complex foot oriented steps, combined with floor work

B-Boying: The Classic and Original hip hop dance, consisting of toprock, power moves, floor work, and freezes.
